What we collect

An email address and password when you create an account (handled by our authentication provider, Better Auth). If you subscribe to Premium, our payment partner Dodo Payments collects your billing details directly — we never see or store your card number.

Where your progress lives

Your settings, streak, scores and flashcard progress are stored on this device (localStorage) for everyone, including guests and free accounts. If you subscribe to Premium, that same progress is also saved to our database so it follows you across devices. Logging out clears the local copy on that device; your account data is untouched.

Other services we use

Flag facts shown in quizzes and flashcards are generated by OpenAI’s API from the flag’s name and region — no personal or account data is sent. The app is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which processes standard web request data (like IP address) to serve pages.

No ads, no tracking scripts

Flagpuff has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking pixels. We do not sell or share your data.

Children

Flagpuff is designed to be friendly for all ages, including kids playing with a parent or teacher. Creating an account requires an email, so we rely on the account holder being an adult or acting with a parent or guardian’s permission; we don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from young children beyond the account email used to sign up.

Your choices

Turn off "Save progress on this device" in Settings to stop local saving. To access, export or delete your account data, use the Account section in Settings, or email hello@flagpuff.com.
